Sometimes, you’re just in the mood for a feel-good story. If that’s what you are looking for, give Swipe Right by J.P. Oliver a read. This book was a sweet read with just the right amount of sass and spice to leave me with feeling all marshmallowly good inside. It had parts that made me laugh and parts that made me want to tear up a bit. I really enjoyed it.
What can I say about the two MC’s Davis and Paul? They are an adorable pair that’s for sure. I just want to wrap Davis up in a blanket cocoon and love on him for trying so hard. He reminds me of me when I was younger. He just so badly wants to be loved, especially being surrounded by couples. It’s a really hard place to be in when you have a romantic soul. Of course, I didn’t have a Paul to give me a good dose of reality thought. It’s not so bad being lost in the romance cloud in your head. Sometimes it’s better than reality and I’m sure Davis would probably agree with me.
I wanted to cry when Paul’s fears came into play though. Curse his parents and everyone else along the way, but for all those fears, he certainly came through for Davis. I loved the big gesture! It made me sign and want one of those myself.
This was my first book to read by J.P. Oliver. Now I want to go back and read the books that came before this one. The cast of characters all have such great personalities that I want to read more about them all. Overall, Swipe Right was a great read!
